Managed Web Hosting FAQ

See a list of frequently asked questions about our managed hosting services.

For your website to be accessible to the world online, it needs a place to live. Web hosting is renting space on a server (a physical computer) that is connected to the internet. The web host is a connected device where your website files and data live. It’s how people around the world are able to gain access to those files.

Web hosting has a recurring cost because it involves ongoing expenses to keep your website online. This includes server maintenance, electricity to power the servers, physical space in data centers, security measures and so on. Just like renting an office or paying for utilities, hosting requires continuous resources to ensure reliability, speed, and protection.

Our managed web hosting plans ensure that your website runs smoothly and securely on our hosting service’s server. For WordPress sites, this means keeping both the WordPress files and database properly configured and functioning as they should, so your website remains accessible. We offer a range of CPU options to meet your website’s needs.

Our managed web hosting plans focus on keeping your server running smoothly to ensure your website remains online. However, they do not include website updates, such as content changes or functionality adjustments. We provide these services through our ongoing website services plans. If you choose to host your website elsewhere or manage hosting yourself, we’re able to accommodate that. The websites we build are yours to take, and we’ll provide you with all the necessary WordPress files and database to set up your site with another hosting provider. If you need further assistance migrating your website to your new hosting provider beyond providing the necessary files and database, we’re also able to help. This service would be quoted separately unless otherwise arranged.
